Has anyone tried watching that new show on Golf Channel called The Golf Fix?

I couldn't last more than a few minutes. Michael Breed's voice sounds just like fingernails screeching across a chalkboard.

I forced myself to listen to the advice he's giving - "fast-paced, in-your-face instruction" as GC calls it on their website - none of it can possibly make any sense to an average 15-handicapper.

I'm a 4-hcp. It would be like reading golf digest all winter then going out in the spring and expecting to be a scratch by July 1st.

Any opinions to the contrary? Confused

Agree, not the best voice for television, but do think that he is best suited for the 15-handicapper than the 4-capper

Have you ever heard Breed on XM 146 PGA Tour Network?  He sounds way different on the radio.

I've heard first hand that he is an excellent teacher.  My college roomate worked at a club down the road from Deepdale when MB was there and learned to play to a scratch from his time working with him.

The show reminds of Mad Money ... very fast paced. I did find the show to have some good information!

It's funny I like the show and don't mind him, but just last night as my wife and I were making diner, I had the golf fix on and after about 5 min she turned around and said "g d, who is that guy and what is up with his voice?" She said his voice was like nails on a chalkboard to her ears. She made me turn the ch.

The PNC championship players trying to putt out on 18 while he was filming part of his show would agree.

He's ok. He can tone it down a bit, but the dude isnt bad. ITs hard to come up with that many creative, and different tips and excercises in a short period.

Breed is awesome!  Come on!  Golf needs some energy and he brings it big time.  I think he is great and great for golf.  If you don't like him then don't watch it.
