Just wondering if anyone out in the golf blogosphere knew where Stephanie Smith Transferred to, or if she is still playing. She played at Texas tech fall of 2008, and Texas A&M Spring 2009, but is not on A&M roster now.

She played at Tech for 1 1/2 years, but didn't make a trip in her sophomore fall season at Tech. She then transferred to TAMU and played 1 semester, spring of her sophomore year. I noticed her name in the Futures Qualifier, so I guess she turned pro. Not sure why she is she isn't in school.

She is in school and doing beautifully. She is focused and dedicated and making good decisions.

Stephanie Smith is no longer attending T A&M and is now pursuing a professional career.

Man, does anyone on these sights ever give anyone any breaks? I do not know who Stephanie Smith is, but she is young and impressionable and probably cares what people are saying about her and then you (golflover) post about her academics in such a damaging way. Do you really think it is acceptable to degrade a young person on a public website? Think again, if they degraded you by name, you would not like it, but then again, no one really knows who you are or really cares what you do....

Well, thankfully, no one on this post is trying to put her down that I have seen. IF she did in fact have academic issues, she would not be the first or last student athlete to do so. My only question was that she seemed to play pretty well in Spring 09, then no sign or mention of her. Again, IF it is true that she is trying Futures tour, best of luck to her, and hope she makes it!

to clarify a post that I was "degrading" her, I MOST CERTAINLY WAS NOT! I'm pretty sure I was just saying what I had heard from a reliable source. I would never do that.
to understand what "NAleans" posted....well, that I just don't understand. I don't understand why people keep calling me sydnie...all I know is that I love college golf and I'm just trying to inform people of the things I've heard.
It seems to me that "Syndie" was being degraded on your post "NAleans"
