Topic: Difference between Tiger and Phil Posted: Jun/18/2010 at 9:43am |

I can't believe none of these analysts has commented on the difference between how Phil and Tiger handled their rounds. Phil took it like a man, congratulated Mike Davis on the setup and said it was his fault that he scored the way he did. Tiger, on the other hand, blamed it on the greens. The closest anyone came to saying anything about it was Jeff Rude who said that it was typical of any athlete that it can't be his fault--it has to be outside influences. However, given Tiger's recent past, I think it is more indicative of his character flaws and it, in my opinion, is why he has been surpassed by Phil in terms of who the majority of fans root for.

Tiger didn't complain about the poa annua when he won there in 2000 or the same type of greens at Torrey Pines when he won there. No one told you to hit your second shot into the sand on 18 Tiger. I predict he will not catch Jack's 18 majors.

I am happy the USGA came right back at Tiger yesterday. I played poa greens all through college and you do get crazy bounces sometimes. You live with it and move on. His head is not in the right place and so he has to blame something. Look in the mirror Tiger

About that Grand Slam, don't think is going to happen. Phil needs to shoot a 65 ahead of the leaders to have any chance. Tough to do but you never know. Should be a fun Sunday at Pebble.

Tiger is a loser. Plain and simple. He is a bitter person a jackleg and people care less and less about him every day and he only helps them care less about him.
Take away golf and he is a walking schmuck. Golf is all he has. He was a bad husband which to me translates into being a bad dad in his situation, his friends such as Barkley say he is horrible at every other sport, he listens to bad music, has bad pick up lines and is a obnoxious donkey when people try to interview him. He has been crappy with fans including kids for years (unlike oh lets say Palmer). He's just not a good guy. People liked him because he could score low on the golf course and make killer putts when he needed to, that's it.
OK, I'm finished :)

Forgot to add, Phil on the other hand-having met him several times has been nothing but a stand up guy.

amen peter tosh. one other thing that struck me about tiger was his back nine on saturday. he had like four birdies in a row or some nonsense but the crowds never got behind him like they did at pebble back in 2000. just one tiger-haters perspective

Tiger never congratulated the winner on Sunday just complained about the course set up and how "anyone can win now". He is a bum and people are just done with him. And despite what a lot of pundits are saying he won't win at St Andrews either. And I bet he complains about the greens there as well. Jack's record will remain intact for a very long time because this guy is not going to break it.
