I don't follow her and her game and I have not checked any stats but what is the state of her game. Does she still drive 300+ like she did when she was 13? If so why is she not winning? I would think with the LPGA course setups it should be a driver wedge week after week. Does she outdrive everybody on tour by a lot? Trust me I know length is not the end all and be all but....with her length if she could chip and putt even so-so, she should be winning.

Bottom line is she cannot putt . Don't care how far you hit it, the goal is to get the ball in the hole and she is average to mediocre putter. On top of that, she has not guts. No will to win. A product of never playing on the junior circuit, never having to qualify for a U S Open when she was young and having exemptions handed to her on both the men's and LPGA Tour. She will be a good but never great player in my estimation due to the lack of killer instinct and her putting. She is basically the female version of Davis Love III

Love the Davis Love comparison Stacey. Talk about a guy that had a ton of talent yet trails John Daly in the number of majors he has won. I have watched him in person a number of times and he has always hit it long and pure but get around the greens he is average at best. And I agree he seems to lack a killer instinct. So you are "spot on" as they say in the UK.

Michelle is a great mystery. When she was younger she had a superb swing but the nonsense with her trying to play on the men's tour got her all out of synche and she has never been the same. Things appear to be better now that she is out there on a more regular basis and has seemingly given up on the dream of playing in the Masters but her short game and putting is as stated above, not really great enough to be a superstar. Annika made everything she looked at in her prime years and Lorena learned to hit it close and get the ball in the hole during her peak years. Inkster had a funny swing but boy could she putt. Same with Meg Mallon when she was winning. Michelle is young and perhaps she can still learn to be a better putter but until she makes 4 to 6 footers consistently, she will be a good but not great player.

You all cant be serious in the DL III comparison. Not a good or fair comparison comparing these two at this time in their careers. DLIII has won 20 times on tour, one major and 2 players titles. What has Wie done so far? Nothing. It all boils down to her mental game which is non-existant, she folds every time and cannot handle the pressure. To her credit she is extremely young and has a long career ahead of her.

I don't think I would say she has done nothing.
There many veteran LPGA players and players that have come and gone that don't come close to what she has accomplished in her playing career.

I said nothing about her desrving hype.
I simply said to say Wie has done nothing would not be right.
Wie has 26 top 10 finishes worldwide. In her 80 starts as a pro, 50 of those starts have resulted in a top 30 finish. She has six top 5 finishes in majors - how many LPGA pros can say that? She has missed just 11 cuts in 80 starts.
There are many, many lady tour pros that would take where she is right now in terms of resume.
I don't think its fair to say she has done nothing - that's all I am saying.
