Ashleigh Simon from South Africa.  I'm reasonably certain that she's only 18 and won playing in her 4th Professional European Ladies Tour Event.

Kiran Matharu was being touted last year in the British Isles and applied for an exemption to qualify for the LPGA but I haven't heard much about her this year.

Wie's physical skills have always been right up at the top of the heap and her course management, chipping and putting seems to be improving.  Making a lot of friends with the Solheim Cup experience has really helped her feel more comfortable, I think.

That shot off the tree trunk was bad judgement and could have been a disaster, instead, she made a great shot to the green and almost saved par.  The mental game is still the most important skill a champion can have - maybe she's found it, maybe not.

Michelle had a nice win but it was not in the US during the middle of football season so no one is paying attention.  She will have her share of victories and getting away from her parents has helped this year.  The problem is the LPGA Tour is on life support and fading fast.  Another year and it may be gone.  Then what do the ladies do?  Start another tour?
A good business plan is needed.

First round . . LPGA Tour Championship . .

Finally had to turn it off!  With all the hard swings and the limping . . and the limping . . and the limping . . and the angst!  and the announcers wondering if they should call an ambulance or just let her try to make more birdies . . my goodness!

It sounded like the GC is laying the groundwork for a big medical tv drama based on the the lady's Tour or maybe "Michele and Paula finally stump Dr. House".  Isn't there already enough medical shows?

GC has been a Wie puppet ever since she was 13.  They have to promote that turkey of a tour so they have annointed her the savior.  Michelle needs to suck it up.  Come on girl.  You just won last week.  And it is your tour championship.  You an athlete or not?

The GD she yelled out after a bad shot which was caught on TV during the first round was very unimpressive in my opinion. I guess she thinks if Tiger does it it's OK for her. Not impressive at all.

I think it would be interesting to have some of the ladies of the LPGA weigh in on the 'Tiger Woods Affair' (no pun intended).

Men and women usually have a much different view on matters like this - Michelle Wie's comments would be fun to hear but I think we would probably hear, 'no comment'
